Michael Jackson's body will go on public view at his Neverland ranch, it has been reported.
Although the family are yet to confirm any details of the 50-year-old's funeral, reports in the US media suggest his body will be taken to the ranch about 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
The complex was where Jackson kept his personal fairground and where he often entertained fans.
Meanwhile, tributes continued to pour in for the artist with Stevie Wonder performing a rewritten version of one of his biggest hits in honour of the late entertainer.
It is understood a public viewing of the King of Pop's body has been scheduled for Friday and a private funeral will be held on Sunday.
Butch Arnoldi, a spokesman for Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department, told website E! Online: "Our guys are meeting as we speak with the California Highway Patrol to discuss the security issues."
Meanwhile a Jackson family lawyer confirmed the singer - who suffered a cardiac arrest last Thursday - had left a will.
Londell McMillan said: "My clients are now aware after filings that a will has been presented. His various advisers are looking for additional documents."
In documents filed in court when Jackson's mother won temporary custody of her son's three children and the family moved to become administrators of his estate, it was stated the singer died without a valid will.
If Jackson named an executor in his will they are likely to become the estate administrators.
Reports in the US suggest the will names Jackson's mother as guardian to his children while his assets will be placed in a trust fund.
The King of Pop's tour promoter Randy Phillips, president of AEG Live, said he hoped there could be tribute concerts to Jackson.
The singer was booked to play 50 gigs at the O2 arena in London starting later this month.
In an interview with Sky News, Mr Phillips denied Jackson was suffering from stage fright, saying AEG Live would at "some point" be releasing footage of the rehearsals."
In Montreal, Canada, Wonder remembered Jackson with an adapted rendition of I Just Called To Say I Love You.
"Michael knows that I'm here and I love you," Wonder crooned, his voice wavering slightly.
"We're all here and we'll never show how much we care," he sang. "By playing and buying your music to show your family we mean it from the bottom of our hearts. Sure, we mean it from the bottom of our hearts."
Wonder, 59, described Jackson as "someone very, very special to the world, his family and his friends".
A number of vehicles, heavy construction equipment and workers were later spotted going in and out of Neverland.
More than a dozen vehicles, including a tractor, a cement mixer and a digger were seen while gardeners and police were seen on the premises.
