John Slattery puts the finishing touches to a giant edible bed - a life-size double (6ft by 4ft) made out of Victoria sponge cake. Commissioned by Best Western hotels in celebration of its 30th birthday, the creation was made with 124lb flour, 144lb sugar, 800 eggs, 6lb of baking powder, 2lb salt, 70 pints of milk, 52lb jam and 140lb butter cream.
