Picnic festival tickets on sale

Tickets have gone on sale for the fifth annual Electric Picnic music festival in the Irish Republic.

Punk legends The Sex Pistols are among the headline acts confirmed for this year's three-day event in Co Laois.

Weekend tickets, including camping, from August 29 to 31 inclusive cost 240 euro (£189).

Family camping tickets - for two adults and up to four children under 12 are priced at 480 euro (£377) each.

There are also campervan tickets available, priced at 60 euro (£47).

All tickets are available from the ticketmaster website.

The boutique festival in Stradbally will feature more than 180 acts including My Bloody Valentine, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Goldfrapp, Duffy and The Waterboys.

Patrons can also enjoy the comedy stage, a circus and the Body and Soul Village which offers yoga, log fires and ambient bean bag lounging, according to the organisers.
