Beyonce Knowles and her long-term boyfriend Jay-Z have taken out a marriage licence in New York, according to US reports.
The licence, which was obtained in Scarsdale, New York, is valid for 60 days, an unnamed source told showbiz website People.com.
The 26-year-old singer and actress - who found fame with girl group Destiny's Child before launching a solo career - and megastar rapper Jay-Z, 38, have been dating since 2002 and have been reluctant to discuss their relationship publicly.
Rumours about their romance began when Beyonce, who often finds herself on lists of the world's sexiest women, appeared on Jay-Z's song '03 Bonnie & Clyde. The pair also collaborated on Beyonce's solo hit Crazy In Love in 2003.
In December 2006, the singer told InStyle magazine: "You can't rush a man into anything - whether it is a relationship, marriage or having children."
