John Barrowman has apparently revealed the secret to his youthful looks.

The handsome Torchwood star has reportedly admitted to having Botox treatments to hold back the years.

The actor apparently told the Daily Star: "I have Botox. The key is not to do the forehead. Men need forehead lines and doing the forehead makes you look like Nicole Kidman."

And John, who plays the dashing Captain Jack in Doctor Who and its BBC Two sci-fi spin-off, said the radical wrinkle treatment doesn't affect his acting performance

Some users of the procedure, in which minute doses of a powerful poison is injected into facial lines, can end up sporting the "frozen face" look.

He said: "I can still smile and look expressive. Nobody knows that I've had it done.

"If something makes you feel good then you should do it. I use moisturiser and aftershave and I never touch my face with my fingers."
