Big Weekend for Madonna?

Madonna is rumoured to be joining the bill at Radio 1's Big Weekend.

The 49-year-old Queen of Pop will treat the crowd at the event in Kent to tracks from her latest album, Hard Candy, reports the Daily Star.

A source told the paper that "everybody's really excited" at the prospect of Madonna performing at the show, which takes place next month.

The insider added: "The organisation is going to be immense but she is well worth it."

Madonna's Hard Candy is released this month and features collaborations with big names like Timbaland and US singer and actor Justin Timberlake.

It is Madonna's first studio album since 2005's Confessions On A Dance Floor, which was a massive hit, debuting at No 1 in 29 countries and scooping a Grammy.

Radio 1's Big Weekend is set to take place in Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent in May.
