Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey and singer Bob Geldof will be among the speakers at a leading business conference later this month, it has been announced.

Spacey - who is known for hit films like American Beauty, The Usual Suspects and LA Confidential - and Live Aid organiser Geldof, former singer with New Wave group The Boomtown Rats, will join other speakers including British Airways boss Willie Walsh and Tory leader David Cameron at the conference.

The Institute of Directors announced the line-up for its annual convention at London's Royal Albert Hall on April 28, which will be attended by around 3,000 company executives.

National Trust director general Dame Fiona Reynolds and Guardian Media Group chief executive Carolyn McCall, who was named Veuve Clicquot businesswoman of the year last night (Tuesday), will also be speaking at the event.
