Forget about Ozzfest, rockers Motley Crue have announced plans to put on a rival show for rockers in the States - Crue Fest.

The heavy metal band announced in Hollywood that this summer they'll be staging their first-ever touring rock festival which will feature the four original members of Motley Crue -- singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee -- as well as Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:AM and Trapt.

Drummer Tommy Lee promised a packed room full of fans and journalists: "This is going to be so much fun it's something we've been looking forward to for a long time, talked about for a long time and hopefully this thing transpires into somewhat of an Ozzfest and carries on for years and years which would be badass. I can tell you one thing for sure we are going to have more fun than humans are allowed to f***ing have, that's for sure!"

Bassist Nikki Sixx said selecting the bands to take on tour was a tricky business: "We were looking for bands that live the rock and roll lifestyle because that's what we're going to be taking around the country - rock and roll and the lifestyle - and these bands all stand up for that. They all have amazing songs. They all look and smell and, I imagine some of you will find out, taste like rock stars."
