Melinda's Big Brother tips

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Melinda Messenger has offered her advice to this year's crop of housemates.

The ex-glamour model said: "My advice would be to just enjoy the experience; to have fun and not take it too seriously."

Melinda came third in 2002's Celebrity Big Brother, behind Mark Owen and Les Dennis. But she confessed she did not think she would make it past day two.

"I had a lot of fun, as I thought I'd be out in the first few days," she said. "To me it was like a holiday camp as I had two young children at home and I thought, 'This is great, I can get out of changing nappies, and making everyone's dinner.'

"For me it was quite a nice break, so I didn't feel the stress the others felt."

And Melinda is now back on our screens - she's currently hosting Bingo Night Live on ITV.
