Angelina Jolie brought more than just action heroine skills to her latest flick Wanted.
Timur Bekmambetov, who directed the film, said Angelina also had a hand in the formation of the plot - which follows James McEvoy character turning from an office nobody to a fully-fledged assassin.
"It think it was Angelina's idea that every bullet had a story. Every shot had a back story, a reason, and it was very specific," he said.
"Usually, when you think about an action movie, people have to shoot as much as possible. But in our movie there is a story for every shot, except the last scene when everyone is shot!," he said.
Timor, who directed Russian blockbusters Day Watch and Night Watch, added that he had enjoyed making his first English language film, but that at times he had struggled to understand James' Scottish accent.
Wanted opens on June 27.
