The Russian film Mukha has taken the top prize at the 11th Shanghai International Film Festival.
The movie by Vladimir Kott scooped Best Feature Film in the festival's Jin Jue Awards.
In other awards, the Chinese movie Old Fish won the Jury Grand Prix prize. Old Fish also had a winner in the acting categories, with Ma Guowei taking home the coveted Best Actor trophy.
Elsewhere, Emilia Vasaryova was named Best Actress for her performance in the Czech movie Vaclav.
Best Screenplay went to Marek Epstein for Vaclav and Best Cinematography went to Florian Schilling for My Mother's Tears.
The Lithuanian movie film Loss won Best Director honours for Maris Martinsons. Loss also won a Best Music award for Andrius Mamontovas.
Hong Kong art-house director Wong Kar-Wai headed this year's jury for the Jin Jue Awards.
