Baby girl for Nicole

Nicole Kidman has given birth to a baby girl, her spokesman said.

A statement released on behalf of the actress and her husband Keith Urban said that the child has been named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. Her spokesman said that both mother and daughter were doing well.

The statement, released in the United States, said: "Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning July 7 2008 in the United States. Sunday Rose Kidman Urban weighed 6lb, 7.5oz.

"Husband Keith was by Nicole's side and mother and baby are very well."

The child was born in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nicole and country music star Keith tied the knot in June 2006 at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in the grounds of St Patrick's Estate, Manly, in Sydney.

The 41-year-old actress has two adopted children with her former husband Tom Cruise.
