Baby joy for Matthew

Matthew McConaughey's model girlfriend Camila Alves has given birth to the couple's first child, according to reports.

Camila, 24, gave birth to a 7lb 4oz boy on Tuesday night in California.

"Camila and I were side by side the entire time," Matthew told OK! magazine. "We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world -- having a child and making a family."

"Now comes the greatest adventure -- raising one, together."

The 38-year-old actor, who has had hit films including Dazed And Confused, Amistad and The Wedding Planner, announced that Camila was pregnant in a posting on his website in January.

He said on the website: "Camila and I made a baby together. We are stoked and wowed."

The couple, who have been together for two years, have not yet revealed a name for the baby.
