Pay rise for Strictly judges?

Strictly Come Dancing's judges will apparently receive a pay rise

It seems Strictly Come Dancing will be waltzing back to our screens after the show's judges settled a pay dispute.

And now the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, Arlene Phillips and Len Goodman will be dancing all the way to the bank as their pay is set to increase by five per cent, from £60,000 to £90,000 per series, The Sun reports.

Craig Revel Horwood told the paper: "As the show gets more popular and we're in a Saturday night ratings war, we need that to be reflected.

"We're not asking for a fortune - I know I'm not Simon Cowell."

Judges Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman were apparently particularly keen to secure the pay rise, as they have to commute to the United States to film the American version of the show, Dancing With The Stars.

A BBC source told the paper: "Thank God it's all over - it was really uncomfortable for a while.

"Now we can get on with making the show."
