Bjorn Ulvaeus has apparently revealed he cannot remember ABBA winning the Eurovision song contest.

The band member and songwriter has turned to hypnosis in an attempt to cure his memory loss, the Daily Mail reports.

Many people are reliving ABBA's best moments thanks to the film version of Mamma Mia! which features ABBA's best-loved hits such as Money, Money, Money and Dancing Queen.

Bjorn even makes a brief uncredited appearance in the film.

But he apparently struggles to remember key moments in his band's history and has to watch video footage and look at photos to jog his memory.

"It is like I was not even there," the star is reported to have said.

The musician was married to band mate Agnetha Faltskog until 1980 when they divorced and he married music journalist Lena Kallersjo.

Mamma Mia! the film has already taken more than £7.6 million at the box office.
