Pop impresario Louis Walsh and Westlife's Kian Egan are searching for a new girl group to hit the charts.

The music men plan to find five talented females during open auditions in Dublin in the coming weeks.

Westlife manager Louis, who helped bring the boys fame and fortune, is, with Kian, hunting for new raw talent that will soar to the top of the charts.

The homegrown new girl group will be co-managed by the pair.

Kian, who is engaged to former Hollyoaks actress Jodi Albert, told budding pop stars to take a chance and go for it.

"I am really hoping we are going to see and hear some great talent from all parts of the country," he said.

"I know how much an audition like this can change your life - so my advice is to go for it."

Louis, who is currently recording a fourth series of X Factor, said they were looking for a five-piece girl group between the ages of 15 and 25.
