We Are Scientists have revealed they have a bone to pick with The Mighty Boosh's Julian Barratt.

The quirky duo, who rocked the Balearics last night during their gig at Ibiza Rocks, said they were big fans of the show.

But bassist Chris Cain said his fellow band mate Keith Murray was not so impressed when they got to meet their hero, who plays Howard Moon in the show, last year.

"We're big fans. We've met Julian. We played at Union Chapel last fall and Julian was having a few drinks on our bus after the show. We hung out with him for a couple of hours and he actually went off with Keith's tie," Chris said.

Keith, who said Chris also had something to do with it, joked that he would have to get the comedian back.

"It was my favourite tie. I should have stolen something from him but he had nothing I wanted," he said.

The band have just played a string of UK dates, including a headline gig at Somerset House in London, part of the Converse Centenary Celebrations with official bar sponsor Brothers Cider.

They return to the UK in August to play Leeds and Reading festivals.
