
Kelly Brook has revealed that work is her priority since her split with Billy Zane. Here we take a look at her career to date:
:: Starting out
Her first break came at 16 when she won a modelling competition on a local newspaper. She went on to star in her first professional advertising campaign for Lee Jeans. One of her early modelling jobs was for the mail order lingerie company Bravissimo. The company specialised in selling bras for larger cup sizes. She caught the eye of the Daily Star and began to feature in the tabloid as a page three girl.
::1999
Kelly took over from Denise Van Outen as co-presenter of The Big Breakfast Show in February 1999, working alongside Johnny Vaughan. She handed her notice in after just five months amid speculation in the press that she was going to be fired.
:: 2000-2003
After quitting the Big Breakfast Show Kelly appeared in a string of movies as a minor role including Sorted in 2000 and Ripper in 2001. Warner Brothers then offered Kelly a small role in the first season of Smallville in 2002. She appeared in four episodes playing Victoria Hardwick. In 2003 Kelly played Lyle's girlfriend in The Italian Job and the following year she had a role in the film School for Seduction.
:: 2005
Kelly co-presented the reality show Celebrity Love Island with Patrick Kielty. She was replaced by Fearne Cotton in the 2006 show. She topped the FHM 100 Sexiest Women In The World list.
Kelly posed for a nude black and white spread with the photographer David Bailey. The photographs featured in the November issue of the magazine Arena.
:: 2006
She introduced a range of her self-designed swimwear and lingerie at New Look. It was also announced that Kelly had signed a £1million contract to be the face of Lynx bodyspray. She had a role in the films Marple: The Moving Finger, Three and In the Mood. She fell for ex-fiancee Billy Zane on the set of Three.
:: 2007
She played Lady Catherine Stanwood in episodes two and three of the series Hotel Babylon.
Kelly was partnered with Brendan Cole in the reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing. During the competition her father, Kenneth Parsons, died from cancer and Kelly decided to withdraw from the show.
:: 2008
Kelly is currently a judge on Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life on Living TV. She will help find the next Johnnie and Baby from the 1980s movie in the second run of the Dirty Dancing inspired reality series. She is also about to appear on the West End stage in Neil LaBute's Fat Pig.
