David Tennant is reportedly in talks with the BBC about a movie version of the hit series Doctor Who.
The actor has agreed to star in a fifth series of the show in 2010 if BBC bosses tie a big screen role into the deal, according to reports in the Sun.
A source told the newspaper: "It looks like a film is going to happen in the next few years.
"For ages, BBC Worldwide held the rights and were planning to make a movie, but it got held up and former BBC1 boss Lorraine Heggessey decided to bring back the TV series in 2005.
"But everyone is keen now and the fans are clamouring. Part of David's conundrum is that he wants to do films, so this looks like it would solve both issues."
The BBC announced in 2007 that David was signed up for three Doctor Who specials, to air in 2009.
