Beyonce: Album is my baby

Beyonce has told fans her latest album is her "baby".

The Bootylicious singer talked about her upcoming third solo offering in a letter to her fans, reports MTV.com.

In the note, released by the 27-year-old's label, Columbia Records, Beyonce said: "I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby.

"It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny's Child when I was 15 years old."

Beyonce released her solo debut, Dangerously In Love, in 2003 and it hit Number 1 in the US and UK. Three years later she unveiled B'Day, which clinched the top spot Stateside.

The new album - which the star has been working on for a year - is set to be released in November.
