Duchovny out of rehab

David Duchovny has checked out of rehab, his lawyer has confirmed.

The X-Files star voluntarily checked himself into a facility in August to be treated for sex addiction.

His lawyer Stanton Larry Stein said: "David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie. He successfully completed his treatment."

It is not known which treatment facility David attended.

The 48-year-old actor has been married to actress Tea Leoni since 1997. They have two children, nine-year-old daughter Madelaine West and six-year-old son Kyd.

David plays a sex-obsessed single father Hank Moody in hit TV show Californication and in January was awarded a Best Actor Golden Globe for the role.

He is set to star in a film called The Joneses, due to be released next year.
