Michael Lohan has apologised for criticising daughter Lindsay's gal pal Samantha Ronson.
"I definitely regret all the things I said about Samantha," Michael told New York magazine at a book party. I'm a Christian. I should not pass judgment on anyone."
Back in September Michael called DJ Sam a "dark, hideous and a disgusting representation of humanity."
Lindsay responded to his comments on her MySpace page, saying about her dad: "If he really cared about me and my life, then he would learn to respect my wishes by staying out of it."
Nowadays, Michael, who says he is in contact with Lindsay, reckons he has learnt that it is perhaps best not to use the media to connect with his famous daughter.
"In the past, I felt that the best way to get to her was to speak out publicly," he said. "And it was the wrong choice. Family matters should be kept private. I've learned that now."
