A former medical centre worker in America has denied selling information from actress Farrah Fawcett's medical records to a gossip mag.

Lawanda Jackson, who worked at UCLA Medical Centre, is charged with illegally accessing the Hollywood star's medical file and selling information about her cancer treatment.

It is alleged she sold the information about Farrah - who found fame in Charlie's Angels in the 70s - to the National Enquirer for 4,600 dollars.

US attorney's spokesman Thom Mrozek said Jackson entered the plea at her arraignment in US District Court on Monday.

A recent state investigation found that UCLA hospital workers had inappropriately accessed records of 1,041 patients, including celebrities such as pop star Britney Spears, since 2003.
