Dev Patel has revealed he'd love to make more movies following his big screen debut in Slumdog Millionaire.
The former Skins actor takes the lead in Danny Boyle's latest flick - about an orphan from the slums of Mumbai - and is fast becoming a hot property in Hollywood.
Speaking in LA at the American Film Institute's special tribute to Danny, Dev said he'd love to carry on working in films.
"I hope so, I've been lucky so far so it'd be silly not to grab the opportunity with two hands and see where it takes me," he said.
But he confessed he still hasn't got his head around the critical buzz Slumdog is generating, saying: "It's weird, I should be in school right now - I'm 18!
"I feel blessed to be honest. Without it sounding cheesy, I feel like the luckiest guy on Earth right now."
Dev said he has Danny's daughter to thank for spotting him on E4's Skins and recommending him to her dad.
He explained: "They had trouble casting the lead guy and Danny came back to London a bit deflated and there was my big gob on TV! His daughter said 'why don't you give this guy a try' and it's almost destiny, like the character, these small coincidences, how I got it is great."
