Strictly's judges get 'cranky'

11 November 2008 10:26am

Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are finding their transatlantic trek from the UK to the US is taking its toll.

The men judge Strictly Come Dancing in the UK, then head to Dancing With The Stars in the US.

Fellow judge on the American version, Carrie Ann Inaba let slip that Len and Bruno were "a little cranky" after all the long-distance commuting.

At the announcement of the People's Choice Awards nominees for 2009, for which Dancing With The Stars are in the running for Favourite Reality Show, Carrie said: "Actually Bruno has a little cold this week. Len had it last week and I said how did you guys pass that? They've been spending a lot of time together."

And for anyone who thinks 64-year-old John Sergeant is too old to keep up with Strictly, Carrie explained how 82-year-old Cloris Leachman (From The Mary Tyler Moore Show) had, until being voted off recently, been holding her own in the competition.

"Cloris is a phenomenon, you look at your grandmas they're having trouble walking and she's out there throwing herself into the death drops and having a great time. I think she was so inspirational," she said.
