The Fratellis were among the big winners at this year's Tartan Clef music awards.

The rockers picked up the SECC Tartan Clef award, while Glasgow indie band Orange Juice lifted the Glasgow Scotland With Style lifetime achievement award.

Sharleen Spiteri of Texas won the Reo Stakis Outstanding Contribution award, while The Almighty lifted the 96.3 Rock Radio Scottish Rock award.

The awards ceremony, which raises money for the Nordoff-Robbins charity, also saw Eddi Reader win the Ticket Master singer/songwriter of the year award.

Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy provides and promotes the use of music with individuals, groups and communities challenged by disability, illness or injustice and is the largest charitable provider of music therapy in the UK.

The event was at the Old Fruit Market in Glasgow's Merchant City and sold out in record time.

Mary Brown, Executive Director Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland, said: "Funds raised from the Tartan Clef Music Awards are crucial as they help to secure the continuation of music therapy sessions for the many children and adults accessing the services.

"Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland is looking to expand and develop its work, so it is hoped that the increased profile the Tartan Clef Music Awards brings will enable even more children and adults to receive music therapy."
