Robert Kilroy-Silk has become the first person to be voted off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The controversial MEP and former chat show host received the least support from the public and leaves the show after 12 days in the jungle.

Speaking after leaving the camp he said: "I pleaded with the the viewers for another night, just one more night, but they wouldn't give it to me."

Show presenters Ant and Dec took Robert through his jungle highlights, including his two impressive bushtucker trials when he won a massive 22 stars so that the camp could eat.

Talking about his jungle experience he said: "It was challenging.

"I never thought I would do the live trial but I was pleased I completed it."

Robert was the first celeb to have to perform one of the show's challenges in front of both a live audience at home and the rest of the celebrity contestants. He faced a number of "gym tests" involving the usual array of jungle critters, but kept his cool to win all 12 stars.

However he nearly lost his composure thanks to the constant manic chuckling of fellow camper Timmy Mallett.

Robert explained to Ant and Dec that he and the former Wacaday presenter had a history. "We had a bit of a run-in on another programme," he explained. "But we put what happened in the live trial to one side and got on with it.

So who would Robert like to see crowned King or Queen of the jungle? "I would like Martina to win," he declared.
