Rachel Stevens has said she and her dance partner have to "crack the whip" before the next edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

The former S Club 7 singer found herself in the bottom two, along with Christine Bleakley, on Saturday - but she was saved unanimously by the judges.

At the Children's Baftas, Rachel said it was "horrible" to be in the dance-off.

"But it makes me determined to fight more. We've got to crack the whip now.

"Fingers crossed that we go all the way, I would love it," she said.

Rachel is preparing to wed her fiance Alex Bourne but she said there was still much to do because all she could think about was the contest.

Referring to her first dance when she does tie the knot, she said Alex had had a few lessons from her Strictly partner Vincent Simone and "he can just throw me around a little bit".

Rachel said the dancing had done wonders for her physique, adding: "I've never been skinny skinny but I do notice everything gets a little bit tighter, a little bit firmer."

Tom Chambers, who married during the run of the show, said he could not wait to "feel like we are newlyweds".

The actor added that scoring a full set of 10s would be "like heaven" but he was taking each week dance by dance.
