George gives away concert tickets?

George Michael had to give away concert tickets after they failed to sell out, it's been reported.

The Amazing singer was paid a tidy sum to take to the stage in Abu Dhabi, and organisers thought people would flock to see the former Wham! star in what he claimed was his last gig.

But they failed to shift all of the 35,000 tickets prior to the concert this week, reports The Sun.

Faced with Grammy-winner George warbling to a half-empty stadium, organisers started dishing out some of the remaining tickets for free.

"It was embarrassing," said a source.

The insider said many youngsters in Abu Dhabi "aren't interested" in the 45-year-old's music, adding: "They're into up-to-date stuff."
