Martina is no 'wimp' in food trial

4 December 2008 04:43am

Martina Navratilova declared that "wimp" was not in her vocabulary as she tackled the latest Bushtucker trial.

The tennis ace was given a challenge named "Wash and Cry", which provided her with a distraction from Nicola McLean's departure as she rooted around a foul tub of fish guts to find items of camp clothing which had stars on them.

Asked if she wanted to go ahead, Martina said: "Can't wimp out, it's not in my vocabulary."

Once she found a star garment, she had to put the item of clothing on before climbing up out of the tub and pulling herself along rollers and through a jungle mangle.

But time pressures meant she won just a couple of stars - leaving the camp with rumbling tummies.
