Courtney explains Love for Coogan

Courtney Love has revealed why she fancied Steve Coogan.

The 44-year-old rock chick, who surprised the entertainment world with her affair with the Alan Partridge comedian, said his role as Manchester music pioneer Anthony Wilson in 24 Hour Party People made him irresistable.

Courtney, who once met the Hacienda nightclub and Factory Records founder during a trip to the UK, told Elle magazine: "I've seen 24 Hour Party People and my theory on why the whole thing happened is that I had a kind of daddy crush on Tony Wilson. I transferred to Coogan because he plays Wilson."
