Britney 'great' says Mel Gibson

Britney Spears is doing pretty well these days, according to her friend, Mel Gibson.
"She's great," the actor told Usmagazine.com at the Global Green Sustainable Design Awards in New York City.
"She's a sweet girl."
Mel famously took Britney and her dad on holiday to his 400 acre ranch in Costa Rica earlier this year following the star's meltdown.
Meanwhile, Britney's latest album, Circus, has topped the US charts, prompting the star to thank fans by video message on her website, www.britneyspears.com.
"I want to wish all of you out there a merry Christmas and a happy new year and I want to thank all of my fans for making my album Circus number one," she says, holding her son Jayden and standing by a Christmas tree.
