Stars including Roxanne Pallett, Melinda Messenger and Todd Carty have been unveiled as being among this year's Dancing On Ice contestants - and those taking part told how they have already picked up bumps and bruises.

Also in the line-up for the ITV1 show are ex-EastEnders and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix, TV presenter Jeremy Edwards, rugby star Ellery Hanley, investigative reporter Donal MacIntyre, singer and presenter Coleen Nolan, ex-footballer Graeme Le Saux and singer Ray Quinn.

Presenter Zoe Salmon, former Liberty X star Jessica Taylor and presenter Michael Underwood complete the list.

They will follow in the footsteps of previous winners Suzanne Shaw, Kyran Bracken and Gaynor Faye, performing live each week to win the approval of judges and viewers.

Jeremy, 37, told how he was in "agony" over Christmas after landing on his hip during practice.

The former actor, who is getting married in May, said he had not thought about the injuries he might sustain when he signed up for the show.

Roxanne, 26, said her skating partner Daniel Whiston wants to try some scary moves to get them out of the way.

She said: "I'm just going to go for it."

Pallett has had the most falls in one session - 14. She said: "My bum is battered and bruised."

Zoe, 28, is hoping her adventures on Blue Peter have prepared her for her latest challenge as a contestant on the show. She had also suffered an injury on her arm, saying: "That's a permanent scar."
