Patrick Swayze has revealed that he remains positive about the future, despite his year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.
"I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer, but in the light," he admitted to American TV host Barbara Walters in a forthcoming interview.
The former Dirty Dancing star said the fight hasn't been easy but prefers to face his challenges head-on.
"There's a lot of stuff going on. Yeah I'm scared. Yeah I'm angry," he said.
"Yeah, I'm [asking] why me. Yeah, I'm all this stuff. Watch me! You watch what I pull off."
That's why the 56-year-old hasn't stopped working - even signing onto a new show, The Beast. Patrick struggled through 12-hour night shoots in cold weather during the week, and weekends were spent in chemotherapy, and he was unable to take any medication to numb the pain.
"When you're shooting, you can't do drugs," he said.
"I can't do Hydrocodone or Vicodin or those kinds of things that take the edge off of it, because it takes the edge off of your brain."
