Daniel Craig has revealed that alcohol helped him get through the freezing cold temperatures on the set of his new film Defiance.

"We got drunk all the time," the 007 star told Parade.com. "There was real vodka being drunk in more than one scene. And I must say, it did help to fight off the cold."

Daniel filmed the movie in Lithuania alongside Jamie Bell and Liev Schreiber. They play Jewish brothers who take refuge in the Belarussian forest to escape the Nazis during the Second World War.

"We were filming in the middle of a forest in freezing temperatures a long way from our comfy trailers," said Daniel. "We were on set 12 hours a day, every day - damp, wet, cold and miserable. We kind of bonded together and a little alcohol helped."
