Farrell wants to play Ledger?

Colin Farrell would like to play Heath Ledger in a movie about his life.

The Irish heartthrob was overheard pitching a film about the late star when he attended the Golden Globes in LA, reports the Daily Star.

Colin - who scooped a Globe for his performance in the movie In Bruges - told a studio boss: "If you wanted to put up the money, I'd play him."

Ledger, who was found dead following an accidental overdose last January, was also a winner at the awards ceremony, scooping the Best Supporting Actor gong for his portrayal of The Joker in Batman flick The Dark Knight.
