Four female Celebrity Big Brother contestants will face the public vote as it emerged the communications watchdog was looking into complaints about bullying on the show.
An Ofcom spokesman said on Thursday night it was investigating complaints it had received about American rapper Coolio, but had yet to launch an official inquiry.
Previously, the Gangster's Paradise star reduced singer Michelle Heaton to tears after suggesting that she was in love with ex-boy band member Ben Adams.
Meanwhile, evicted housemate Lucy Pinder claimed that the rapper had made racist jokes, sexist comments and threats of violence.
And in the latest feud, he rowed on Thursday with presenter Ulrika Jonsson and actress Tina Malone over the shopping list.
The arguments over food exposed a rift in the house between the male and female celebrities, with Michelle, singer Mutya Buena, Ulrika and Tina up for eviction on Friday night.
Thursday started badly when Coolio and Scottish politician Tommy Sheridan failed their task.
They ignored the carwash music played into the house and stayed in bed instead of putting on their costumes and going through the carwash in the garden. Big Brother later told the group they had also failed two more tasks.
