Elton snubs Argentine president

Sir Elton John reportedly snubbed a meeting with the president of Argentina after she kept him waiting.

The 61-year-old musician - famous for his diva-like strops - is reported to have "hit the roof" when President Christina Kirchner delayed their private chat by five hours.

Elton - who was in Argentina on Friday after performing in Buenos Aires - stormed out and left for Chile rather than hang around, the Sun reports.

But Argentine commentator Javier Gonzalez said: "Christina always keeps VIPs waiting.

"It would seem she is as much of a diva as Elton John."
