Harry Potter's presidential offer

Daniel Radcliffe has offered to play guide to Malia and Sasha Obama if they ever want to visit Hogwarts.

The British actor, who is currently performing in Equus on Broadway, has invited the girls to the Harry Potter film set.

Daniel is the latest star to sign up to Obamamania. In an interview with The Daily Beast, the 19-year-old said he was "proud and happy" for America, describing Obama as "both Martin Luther King and JFK".

He continued: "He is a pioneer. He is a symbol of progress which is what we dig about this country."

Daniel added: "He is everything the rest of the world liked about America and now likes again."

Such is his admiration, that Daniel is keen on meeting the entire Obama family at the earliest opportunity.

He told The Daily Beast: "I'd like to take this opportunity to issue a public invitation to the Obamas that if their daughters would like a private tour of the Harry Potter set, I would be honoured to be their personal tour guide."
