Cancer-stricken Jade Goody has had a golf ball-sized tumour removed during emergency surgery, it is reported.
Surgeons told the reality TV star they had to operate after discovering the blockage in her bowel, the Daily Mirror said.
The tumour was found after she complained of agonising stomach pains.
It is the latest blow for Goody, 27, who earlier this week learned her cervical cancer has spread to her bowel, liver and groin.
She was first diagnosed with the illness last August and has undergone extensive chemotherapy treatment which has left her hairless.
The Mirror said Goody's boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21, was believed to be at London's Royal Marsden Hospital waiting to see her after the operation.
She is also being given a new drug to help combat her spreading illness.
Doctors have reportedly prescribed a two-month course of Topotecan, which is still being tested in the UK and is used by sufferers who do not respond to more conventional treatments.
Goody said it had given her a "glimmer of hope".
