Rihanna's album sales have increased following her alleged domestic incident with Chris Brown.

E! Online reports that sales of the singer's 2007 album Good Girl Gone Bad have surged 31 per cent this week, selling a further 25,000 copies in the US and putting her at No 31 in the chart.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown's 2007 album, Exclusive, failed to register in the top 200.

The 19-year-old RnB star allegedly attacked Rihanna, 20, in Los Angeles last weekend after a pre-Grammys party.

Meanwhile, Grammy award nominees also continued to do well in the chart, with Album of the Year winner, Raising Sand, by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, making the No 2 spot.

Coldplay's Viva La Vida rose 23 places to No 8, while Best New Artist winner Adele made No 10, and Jennifer Hudson's debut record went up 17 places to No 30.
