Robin Williams had to cancel four shows

Robin Williams was forced to cancel four performances of his one-man show after experiencing shortness of breath.

The Oscar-winning actor said doctors are evaluating him and recommended a week of rest.

It means he's had to cancel four performances of his Weapons Of Self-Destruction tour in Florida, which were due to take place this week.

The cancelled shows will be rescheduled, and tickets for those performances will be honoured when the new dates are announced.

The 57-year-old Good Will Hunting actor will continue his 80-city comedy tour on Monday (March 9).

Robin's last stand-up tour was in 2002 and tickets for the Broadway leg of his show sold out so quickly that another three dates were tacked on in April to meet demand.
