Jennifer and Owen talk dogs

Marley and Me stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson have talked about their earliest experiences with man's best friend.

Jennifer has revealed that her first dog didn't take to her as much as she would have liked.

"Our first dog Dimitri was a poodle and he didn't like me very much. I was so little, I thought he was something that I could play with and ride but I couldn't. No wonder he bit me, and I thought 'I'll never be a dog person' and now I have two little dogs, so it all turned out good," she laughed.

Owen is such a dog person his own canine friend, Garcia, makes his acting debut in the movie.

"Our main dog growing up was a dog called Blue who was a Labrador who could swim to the bottom of pools to retrieve golf balls," he revealed. "It was his special trick, he could hold his breath. He was a chocolate brown Labrador."

Marley And Me is in cinemas from March 11.
