Swayze slams tabloid reports

Patrick Swayze has slammed tabloids for publishing "inaccurate" stories about his cancer battle.

The Dirty Dancing star - who has been fighting pancreatic cancer for more than a year - told People it's "amazing" that some publications "print such negative stories about me and my health when there are so many positive things going on in my life right now".

The actor, who can currently be seen in TV series The Beast and is working on a book, said he's started a new chemotherapy and is "one of the lucky ones" who is responding well to the treatment.

Patrick continued: "I hope in the future, the press will think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time."
