A supermarket is offering shoppers the chance to cut their energy bills as well as preserve the environment by selling five energy-saving bulbs for 50p this week.
Morrisons is offering the cut-price bulbs from Monday at their stores nationwide.
The Philips Genie bulbs last up to 10 times longer than normal bulbs and use less energy.
For every five ordinary bulbs replaced with the energy saving versions customers can save up to £30 a year on their electricity bills, said Morrisons.
The offer is being sponsored by energy firm Eon.
JohnB Vinuesa, Home and Leisure Director for Morrisons, said: "Everyone's keeping a close eye on their shopping bills and their power bills at the moment and this amazing offer will help customers save on both.
"For just 50p, they'll get five low energy bulbs. That's not just good for their purses and wallets, it's also good for the environment as well. They can save money today and help the environment tomorrow as well."
