When Yosuke the parrot flew out of its cage in Japan and got lost, it recited its name and address to those who found it, just as its owners had taught it to.
Police rescued the African grey parrot from a neighbour's roof in a city near Tokyo, but at first it refused to speak.
But after a few days it told a vet: "I'm Mr Yosuke Nakamura." The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs.
