Actor Bob Hoskins has revealed that he has been forced to do his own fight scenes for a BBC1 drama - because programme-makers sent a stuntman who was a foot taller than him.
The Hollywood star measures in at just 5ft 6in but production staff for his one-off appearance in The Street inadvertently arranged for a giant stand-in who towered above him.
In the programme - to be screened on Monday July 13 - he stars as a pub landlord who gets involved in a brawl with a local gangster.
